Cardio training is a form of aerobic exercise that uses large muscle groups in an unbroken, rhythmic manner for sustained periods of time. The American College of Sports Medicine advocates 30-45 minutes of aerobic training 3-5 days a week if you’re strictly interested in making health improvements.
Benefits of cardio exercise:
Stronger heart and lungs
Increased bone density
Reduced risk of heart disease
Temporary relief from depression and anxiety
